This series of Rimworld videos are going to be dedicated highly edited Rimworld tutorials, where I will teach you all the basics aspect of the game Rimworld tutorial is designed to be new player guide to rimworld. I want each episode to cover different aspect of a game and I want you to be able to watch them independent from each other. In this Rimworld beginner’s guide I hope to teach you all I know about Rimworld and hopefully prepare you to playing game yourself.

In this episode we are looking we are looking at the best possible location for a base we take into consideration things like Rimworld power system, soil levels, defensiveness and relative position on the map.
We then learn how to use stockpiles and zones to move items and set initial growing zone. We will mine some compacted steel to get yourself ready for starting with kitchen in next episode.

I this Complete No-nonsense Step-by-Step Guide to Rimworld Alpha 11 and upcoming Rimworld on steam we will start by creating world, picking new colonist and then I will teach you how to choose your starting location on this Rimworld planet, we will learn how rimworld defences work and learn to provide food for our colonist.
Rim world is space sim colony driven by intelligent AI storyteller. Story begins as the 3 survivors from crash ship land on hostile outer space planet. Over time of the game they will work towards building initial shelter and expanding their colony. This amazing game was created by Tynan Sylvester from Ludeon Studios and collected over $250,000 on kickstarter.
Alpha 11:
It’s here! This update includes clever new AI strategies including sappers who blast and dig around your defences and raiders who burn crops. I’ve also added a number of incidents, including several long-term atmospheric conditions like volcanic winter and toxic fallout. There is also an array of new traps for players to use, dozens of other new features and hundreds of fixes and small improvements. A full change list is at the end of this post. If you wish, you can also read my day-to-day work log here.
If you own the game, you can get the new version by re-downloading from the link you used before (it is a permanent link and always has the newest version). You should also get an update email from us. Anyone still having trouble should start at this thread. There may be a delay of some hours before your download count resets or your email arrives.
Also note that this build will not load old savegames or old worlds, so please don’t try to load these in the new version. They’ll probably just crash the game.
