More then most matt knows about the struggle in life and trying to get through losing a father and uncle at a young age. He found fitness and strength as his father figure while growing up when they had passed but how did he achieve all of his lifting goals? Well with a lot of determination, many workouts, and a heap load of grit.
In this video, Matt is going to go over consistency. What does consistency have to do with getting stronger you ask? Well going to the gym and hitting a huge pr is something not everyone can do. It’s all about the training before the lift that matters, and we’re not talking months of work but years and decades of constant focus on your goals and making sure you are training the strongest and smartest way possible. Forget the get ripped quick schemes of P90X or those workouts meant to get you strong in a short amount of time. Those work, but they also kill your body faster than you could ever imagine. What works its routine and making sure you are very aware of what you need to be doing but also NOT DOING.
Next Matt gives you his training cycle that he personally uses!!! This is lifting and fitness information that very few lifters ever give away. It’s so unheard of that most lifters keep it so close to the chest that only if you study someone very closely can you reverse engineer their routine from social media posts and so forth can you get a decent picture to what they are doing. MATT IS GIVING YOU THIS INFORMATION TO YOU!
Matt also will cover diet habits. What do you eat if you are trying to cut back on calories but equally get stronger? What about if you are looking to get stronger and healthier? Is this possible? Yes, and Matt knows the way you can eliminate the lag between starting down this journey by eating at certain times of the day to get the best lifting results.
Now you’ve been lifting for weeks on end and your GPP is getting higher and higher. What do you do now? Well, Matt tells you in this video as well, he puts in a de-load week after three high-intensity workout weeks. This is the secret to the sauce when it comes to being sure you get strong and stay strong. Without this step, you are practically pushing your body to the limit without pumping the breaks every now and again. This is a disaster for a car engine when you red line and don’t consider the consequences. The human body is made of organic matter and not steel and heavy metals. Your engine will only get slowed with longer and longer use without the proper maintenance. The human body is different if you train at a high level and back off for a while and allow the body to recover that is where true strength comes from. Not from pumping yourself into oblivion but allowing the body to regain its strength to reach new limits when the cycle repeats itself!!!
We sincerely hope you take this great information to heart because these are the keys to success when it comes to lifting and fitness. We want everyone to be as healthy as possible and make sure they are not hurting themselves in the process!!!
