Gov’t shuts Maanzoni Lodge after hosting over 700 delegates

Maanzoni lodge in Machakos has been ordered closed. The proprietor of the hotel chris nzau has also been arrested for allegedly accomodating a large number of youth against the social distancing directive. Machakos county commissioner esther maina also ordered for screening of the youth estimated at 720 who spent the night at the hotel. The county boss says the congregating of the large group at the hotel was posing a risk as the number was double the hotel capacity. The youth are said to have been congregated by data service providers Somasource.
