This is the first of a 4 part series where I’m machining all machined sides of 5.0L intake manifold for my buddy Phil at Mayham Motorsports. This manifold is a Chinese made copy of the Trick Flow brand and my customer could not get the thermostat to seal, and he also had some small leaking at the head surface. So I machined all of the faces while I had it. In this first video I show the fixture that I build to hold the intake the way I want and I’ll be machining the head mating surfaces later in the shaper. One I get the fixture built we’ll set it up in the K&T mill for the thermostat surface, and top where the plenum bolt to.
