Hello guys, welcome to our channel. Our channel focuses on making a video about food and travel all over Vietnam, we will show you the local food, history, and culture on each destination with the beautiful broll. We please to introduce to you the first video about the Mekong Delta Area.
We started the Mekong Delta Trip early in the morning from Ho Chi Minh city to My Tho city located in Tien Giang province. It took around 1 and a half to two hours for moving by car (70 kilometers). We chose the Trung Uong highway to save time, on the other hand, you can go via the 1A route as well.
We have stopped at the rest stop in My Tho to have breakfast with Pho-Vietnamese traditional dish. It was really tasty. Then we chose Vinh Trang Pagoda as the first destination on our trip. That is one of the oldest and famous pagodas in South Vietnam because of the unique architecture, combining both Asian and European styles.
Next, we moved to Dong Tam Snake Farm, one of the largest snake centers in Vietnam. The venom is produced for local use and export with its collection of over 50 species of snake. For those who love animals, this is a great destination for your plan.
Then, we got the Vietnam boat tour down the Mekong Delta to visit Phoenix Islet which is in Ben Tre province and Unicorn Islet which is belonged to Tien Giang province.
We had lunch at Phoenix Islet with a variety of Vietnamese food including giant gourami fish, sticky rice ball, the heart of coconut tree salad, and sweet & sour hotpot. It was absolutely delicious!
We got back the boat moving to Unicorn Islet where we discovered the traditional lifestyle of local people. The activities here include: Bee Farm and try Honey Tea, Python Holding, Southwest Traditional Music, Coconut Candy Production.
We special love the experience of rowing a small sampan boat where we can see the beauty of the countryside. The small sampan boat ride took 15 minutes long and we wish this activity was longer because it is a really great time.
The final destination of our trip is My Tho Market one of the largest markets in this city. Where you can buy fresh food and many things such as cloth, spice, houseware, etc.
