Tips for Getting Booties on Your Dog

To protect their dogs’ paws from ice and salt, owners often employ booties. But as any dog owner will tell you, it’s not always easy getting snow boots on dogs. Professional dog trainer Shelby Semel gave Inside Edition some pointers on how to do it. “Just slow and steady,” she said. Semel also uses treats to keep dogs distracted, so they don’t focus on the shoes. Once dogs get outside, they’re often so excited, they forget about their footwear.
