How Cancer Saved My Life: A Patient’s Journey with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Meet Melissa Ruffino, teacher, sister, daughter, and survivor of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. When she was diagnosed at the age of 32, she immediately moved from Austin to Dallas to begin treatment at UT Southwestern’s Bone Marrow Transplant Program.
