Here are the 6 points I discuss:
1. Video call each other regularly and keep up-to-date with each other’s lives.
2. Plan exciting things for when you reunite e.g. vacations & dates.
3. Find creative ways to virtually close the distance – for example, we watch movies & shows together on Skype.
4. We work together online. If you don’t, try to negotiate a remote-working agreement with your employer, or consider an online university course!
5. Plan your future together! Since we’ve just got engaged, we’re spending a lot of time planning our wedding. It’s exciting and gives us something to always talk about and do together.
6. Keep the relationship exciting!! We always surprise each other, book last-minute vacations, go on exciting dates and more. Whatever you can think of to keep the spark alive and the relationship exciting, do it.
Most importantly, try to virtually close the distance, even though you’re living hundreds or even thousands of miles away from each other. Make sure you’re involving each other in as much of your lives as possible 🙂
