Video of our 3 year 2month old learning how to read. We officially started the reading sessions with Benjamin 4 months ago and now he is well on the way to reading phonetically. In this video Benjamin is revising all the letters he has learnt so far A, B, C, T, S, U, P and he is practising to blend the letters PAT, PAST, PASS, CUP, CUPS, TAP, TAPS etc.
Things to bear in mind while practising with kids; 1) read from left to right 2) Practise blending the words multiple times a day if possible because blending takes time for children to grasp. Although, we usually practice reading only once a day in the mornings for now.
