Whether you’re looking to improve your cycling speed, power, or strength on the bike, incorporating a high-intensity interval training session, such as hill repeats, should go a long way in taking your road cycling to another level. It’s been one of the great cycling tips that took my performance to another level.
In this video today, I will explain what and how a hill repeats session should look like, all the way from a beginner to an advanced road cyclist. I will then explain the benefits of this training session and why you should make it King in your weekly training plan.
While I discuss power training here, if you don’t have a power meter, you could do this on perceived efforts, starting at a moderate effort and working towards hard repeated effort.
