In this video I will share with you a blues lick in A and most importantly, my approach on how to learn a new lick.
First, learn the notes and try to identify on which scale is the lick based. In this case, the A minor pentatonic scale.
There’s some bends on the lick so it’s important that you analyze the intervals, too.
Once you start speeding up you will encounter some problematic areas that you’ll need to work on. Make little exercises out of the difficult passage so you can isolate it.
Add a few more notes to the difficult part so you can practice how to continue with the lick.
