An online tutorial on how to improve rhythm and pulse with Figurenotes. Artistic Director of Drake Music Scotland Pete Sparkes guides us through a body percussion exercise to help improve coordination, pulse and ensemble skills. There is scope to add in other instruments, vocal sounds and build more complex rhythms.
Pete a musician and educator specialising in using technology and inclusive methodology to work creatively with children and adults with additional support needs. He regularly presents on this topic at conferences and co-leads a module at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with composer Oliver Searle.
Part 5 will be released next Tuesday when we will be looking at how to make a chimebar kite.
