What if a Bird hits Aeroplane? #shorts
A bird strike on the windscreen or the engine of an airplane during the time of landing or take-off may cause a severe accident.
So can these accidents result in the crash of the entire plane?
When birds strike the windscreen of the plane, although the pilots face some issues in navigation, they can make a safe landing.
But the problem rises when birds strike the fan of the engine. In that case, the nibbled body parts of the bird will get stuck in the compressor, and the compressor will not be able to ventilate the plane efficiently, which will increase the temperature of the engine up to 210°C.
The fuel will not receive an adequate amount of oxygen in the combustion chamber, which will make the fuel drain out of the turbine in liquid form.
When fuel comes in contact with oxygen after getting out of the engine, a blast occurs right behind the engine.
This blast may also take place inside the combustion chamber because the fuel keeps on burning but the cooling process of the engine gets slower because of the bird stuck in the compressor.
